Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is manufactured in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and every blade of turf is produced and tufted in Shaw’s U.S. facilities. Cutting-edge automation and Lean/Six Sigma practices ensure consistent quality to achieve industry-leading performance standards. When you schedule to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can trust that you’re investing in American-made grass built to last.
American Manufacturing: We produce turf in Shaw’s American plants such as Dalton, Georgia. Shaw’s technology investments ensure fiber uniformity and premium quality.
Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we control each stage of turf creation. That helps us deliver consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, prompt attention to any product issue, and transparent production data for troubleshooting.
Rigorously Tested: Before any turf is delivered, it’s tested and validated through Shaw’s labs and outdoor fields. We use a 13,000 sq. ft. sports science lab and over 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test plots to mimic extended real-world conditions. We evaluate turf blades for color, endurance, and realistic performance, so your yard or putting green stays vibrant and realistic for years.
CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION
We constantly improve our turf to be more natural-looking and durable. Some of our latest innovations include:
Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: The patented Bolt cross-section gives our turf its edge. It stands taller and springs back better than ordinary turf, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its unique shape and curved angles reduce shininess, giving the grass a realistic, non-glossy look.
HydroChill® Cooling: We offer cooling infill that reduces turf temperatures by 30–50°F. This passive cooling system is ideal for hot climates and full-sun areas, keeping your lawn walkable for pets and people.
Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are engineered to drain waste quickly and resist staining. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.
Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you personalize turf with logos, patterns, or custom colors. From branded backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this feature offers unlimited creative control.
TAILORED TO YOU
We collaborate with clients, golf pros, and experts to ensure our artificial turf perform in real settings. Feedback from golfers prompted a new “spring green” color option for tee turf that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this make us trusted by Toronto professionals, residents, and designers.
We also offer specialized systems for every application — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.
We take fake grass installation seriously. It’s an art when done right. Our synthetic turf is engineered so the ball rolls and bounces exactly like on tour-quality greens. That’s why pros like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam endorse Southwest Greens products. And because Southwest Greens is backed by Shaw’s full portfolio, we can adjust fibers, infill, or pile height to your specs.
LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND
We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Big advancements are coming in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf revealed that fans will vote on new field designs and that a patented “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will roll out in 2026.
This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but rest assured, our R&D team is developing the next generation of artificial grass.
Upcoming releases will blend innovation and customer insight, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
