Indoor or outdoor, the sky's the limit! Southwest Greens Ontario offers custom design expertise for golf greens in varying sizes and configurations for every client. Our outdoor synthetic putting greens are made uniquely for each client, considering available space as well as budget.
Artificial golf greens require a high level of expertise for design and installation. Since our beginnings in the golf industry in 1996, we have truly refined the art of golf construction. Turf blending, undulations, breaks and bunkers name just a few of the design elements important for natural looking and rolling golf greens. With so many additional architectural features to take into account over a more basic artificial, the cost of construction for our golf greens ranges from $20 to $25 per square foot, more or less calculated considering region, accessibility and features.
The high quality of the materials we use is an extremely important factor in achieving a top-flight golf green. Our superior products deliver the rich, natural green look of natural grass as well as the plush feel and true performance characteristics free of nylon and other popular materials used in many synthetic golf greens.
Southwest Greens Ontario is the acknowledged leader in the artificial turf industry. Our commitment to research and development makes it possible for us to provide the highest quality and most advanced materials on the market today. With a range of turf products created to simulate the look and feel of natural grass, our custom designs reflect the particular needs, climates and conditions of any area. All Southwest Greens Ontario installers are required to hold national certifications, guaranteeing that products and professional workmanship will consistently be of the highest quality.

Will the artificial turf fade over time? How durable is the turf?

Southwest Greens Ontario's original installations are 20 years old or older and still embody the vibrant green color and texture of natural grass. Our UV-resistant artificial grass products look and work like new because they are crafted to withstand heavy traffic, extreme weather conditions and temperature fluctuations for all-year use. All installations come complete with a one-year workmanship warranty and manufacturer's warranty that includes fading.

Our artificial grass is developed to be used and is highly recommended in busy areas or for long-term sporting purposes

In most cases, artificial grass is disposed directly into landfills, using up precious space. Shaw offers a better alternative through the Green Edge Recycling Program. Once artificial grass is removed, we are able to repurpose it in several different ways including carpet backing, mats, rugs, sheet goods and more.

Sand filling from the synthetic grass product is mechanically removed from the turf, separated and then put through a cleaning process. The infill can then be used in future fields or used as materials for new products.

Shaw has recycled over half of a billion pounds of carpet since 2007 and opened two advanced recycling facilities — Evergreen (nylon 6 recycling) and Re2E (Reclaim to Energy). Today, Shaw provides hundreds of fully certified Cradle to Cradle flooring products.

Our synthetic turf products require very little maintenance. For most artificial grass applications, using a leaf blower and water hose to dispose of lawn and pet debris is all you need to keep the surface clean. For golf greens, routine care by your local Southwest Greens Ontario representative every 12-18 months is recommended; we will ensure smooth putts with regular check-ups that include inspecting the areas around the cups for any adjustments and rolling the green.
Highly trained Southwest Greens Ontario designers and installers are the only personnel certified to design and install our synthetic grass materials. DIY purchases are available with consultation but will void any installation warranty

There are many reasons that artificial grass is a great option for Toronto pet owners! First, it's much easier to care for than natural grass — you won't have to worry about trimming, saving you valuable time and money. Additionally, synthetic grass is more resilient than real grass, so it can withstand heavy foot traffic. Plus, synthetic grass is chemical-free and safe, making it healthy for your pets.

It's not easy for fleas, ticks, and other pests to survive in the synthetic turf. While we can’t guarantee that your yard will be completely free of pests, you can rest assured they’ll be virtually eliminated. Because there is no soil to support their nesting, you have to keep an eye out for any collection of leaves or debris that can make a good breeding environment for fleas and ticks. As long as you keep up with your artificial lawn regularly, there will be hardly any pests.

Absolutely, our artificial turf looks and feels just like natural grass, so your pets will be able to enjoy it just as much they would use a natural lawn. They can roll around on the grass to their heart's content!

The synthetic turf we offer is designed to be long-lasting and resistant to wear and tear, so it can withstand digging without becoming damaged. However, if your pets are persistent diggers, we recommend taking measures to prevent them from digging in the grass.

Yes, cleaning fake grass is effortless! You can easily spray it down with water to remove any twigs. For more thorough cleaning, you can use a specialized artificial grass cleaner and a broom to clean the grass. Take a look at our complete cleaning guide for more information.

Artificial grass is odorless, so if any smells do occur, it’s usually caused by urine specifically. Many dogs prefer to use one area of the lawn to do their business, so sometimes, you can get a little more of a concentration of odor. Southwest Green's pet-turf system is designed to help get rid of odors, but there are steps you can take to ensure no smells persist. We advise you use a solution of equal parts H2O and white vinegar to spray Fido’s favorite bathroom area. Let it dry to eliminate any lingering odor, if our system was not used.
Our premium artificial grass is designed to be resilient and lasting, with a lifespan of up to 20 years with appropriate maintenance. However, the longevity of your grass may depend on factors such as the traffic and how well it's maintained. Our sun-protected synthetic turf products look and function like new because they are built to withstand lots of traffic, inclement weather, and changes in temperature for all-year use. All placements come complete with a one-year installation warranty and a maker's warranty that covers color loss.
